Dropped support of outdated Oracle versions

We have dropped support of all Oracle versions, that have already reached the patching end date. Minimum version required to run Simplifier database on Oracle is 19.

The settings to activate deprecated Connector API will be removed with Simplifier 9. Please make sure you do not use the deprecated Connector API anymore. Connector calls can than only be executed when Connector Call name is given (Simplifier.Connector.<ConnectorName>.<CallName>(payload))

Changed System Requirements for installations on Oracle

Minimum version of a Oracle hosting your Simplifier database is now 19. Update your Oracle server before starting update to Simplifier 8 EHP 4. (Read more)

Remove deprecated Connector API from your Business Objects and Scripts

Please check if you are still using deprecated Connector API at some Business Objects or Scripts. Connector calls can than only executed when Connector Call name is given (Simplifier.Connector.<ConnectorName>.<CallName>(payload))

Activate validation of IssueInstant property in SAML Authentication Methods

If you had configured Maximum Token Lifetime in your SAML Authentication Methods, these get switched off on migration to Simplifier 8 EHP 4. Check if you want to use the new possibility to validate IssueInstant property instead. (Read more)

Activate enhanced security

Activate enhanced security for Business Objects, Templates and Plugins, if you have deactiveted them.

Please check your roles are set up accordingly and contain execution permission to all required Server-side Business Objects and read permission to all required Templates and required Plugin Permissions so there will be now issues as soon as enhanced security settings cannot be deactivated anymore.
