What is an automated Task?
An automated task refers to a activity that is carried out automatically by a workflow within Simplifier, without requiring human intervention or input.
Automated tasks can take many forms, depending on the specific needs and requirements of the workflow. For example, they may include tasks such as:
- Automatically generating and sending reports or documents
- Initiating and completing data entry or data processing tasks
- Running automated tests or quality checks on input data or output results
- Triggering automated savings of workflow data (variables) into external backend systems
Automated Task are executed automatically by Simplifier. The task can use existing business object or connector calls to transfer data from or into the workflow variables to a existing data source / backend system.
Integrate external Data and Logic via Business Object
You can configure the automated task using a business object to call individual business logic, transform and filter data and read or write data to external systems.
Step 1 – Choose the right Task Type
Select the Task Type “Automated Task”
Step 2 – Select Business Object as Data Source
Select the Business Object for executing within the automated task.
Step 3 – Select Business Object and Function Call
Select the Business Object and Function for automated execution
Step 4 – Configure Input- and Outputmapping
Choose the appropriate Button to configure the Input and Outputmapping
Integrate external Data via Connector
You can configure the automated task using a connector call to read or write data to external systems.
