[Deprecated] Event tab in UI Designer

In our UI designer there is still the legacy feature to add scripts to events directly in the Event tab. As we want to provide a consistent App Building we will remove this feature with Simplifier 10. Simply use our Process Designer instead.

[Deprecated] Javascript execution in PDFs created by PDF Plugin

Currently it is possible to add Javascript to PDFs created by PDF Plugin. This is a potential risk for Server Side XSS (PDF Injection) und Server Side Request Forgery (SSRF). The option to add Javascript to PDFs in PDF Plugin is now deactivated but can be activated at own risk. The activation is subject to be removed in later Releases.

Support of Android 7 and iOS/iPadOS 13 and 14 will be dropped with Simplifier 9.

Check language of your Workflows

For all existing Workflows default language is set to German. If that does not fit your configuration please change default language or translate your workflows. (Read more)

Translate your custom Workflow Task Modules

If you decide on translating your Workflows, also translate your custom Workflow Task Modules, to have consistent behaviour for your users. (Read more)

Check Javascript usage in generated PDFs

As with deactivated usage of Javascripts in PDFs generated with PDF Plugin by default, check if you are using Javascript in such cases. If so, either activate Javascript in PDF Plugin or remove Javascript from your PDF content. (Read more)

Update Standard Content

Update Standard Content to Version 27 (at least) to ensure you have all current fixes and features available on your instances. (Download here)

If used: Standard behaviour of Client-Side Business Object Function SF_Collection / appendElement will be changed in Simplifier 9. If no array is given, it will be treated as empty array. In cases a value is given that is not an array there will still be an error. Please adapt your process, in case the new default behaviour does not fit your needs.

IMPORTANT: If ‘Default’ is not the active instance configured in your Server Environment (read more), please check your Endpoint Configuration of Connector ‘Appwizard_API_1_0’ on those instances you want to use our Application Wizards. Typically this is relevant for all Dev-Instances. (Read more)
