Our form assistant wizard is perfect for businesses, organizations, and individuals looking to create forms for a variety of purposes, including lead generation, event registration, customer feedback, and more. Plus, with our drag-and-drop functionality, you can easily customize your form without any coding knowledge.
[Governance] Workflow Monitoring
We’re excited to introduce our new Workflow Monitor, which gives you a comprehensive overview of your workflows. With this powerful tool, you can easily see which workflows are currently running, have finished or running in an error. In addition, if you have additional administration rights, you can skip the current step, stop the complete workflow instance, resume the complete workflow or even terminate a workflow that is configured incorrectly. [Governance] New Workflow Permission for global, project and business roles
We’re pleased to announce an exciting new feature that allows for greater control and customization of workflow permissions within projects. With this new feature, you can now assign specific workflow permissions to individual projects, providing greater flexibility and control over your workflow design process. Workflow permissions and projects work hand-in-hand, allowing you to create customized workflows with specific permissions tailored to each project’s unique needs. You can now control who has access to workflows within each project, ensuring that only the right people have access to the right workflows. (Read more)
[Governance] Workflow Monitoring Archiving
All running Workflow Instances produce Monitoring Logs that will be archived in the filesystem if the workflow is completed or terminated. The Archive Job will run every week at 2 am and archiving 6 month old logs. These Logs will not be visible in the Workflow Monitoring anymore. (Read more)

Updated Features Release 8
[Interaction] Reworked Mobile Client
Simplifier Mobile Client is redesigned based on customer feedback. The new App List for Android is not split over several tabs anymore, update and download status are displayed in the same view which enhances usability. Apps can be deleted by swiping left on an app entry. Furthermore, there is now a Task Inbox that shows all Tasks that are assigned to the user from Workflows. Also, the new User Menu provides quick access to status info and settings. For Developers, the preview and automatic testing are now placed in a separate developer tab. Apps that include tests can be executed from the Test tab. (Read more)
[Interaction] Business Apps on iOS can be debugged
Since iOS 16.4 it is now possible to debug Simplifier Business Application by using Safari Web Inspector on Desktop. (Read more)
[Governance] Disable Statistics and change Performance Log Level
If it is now possible to disable the Statistics and use the Monitoring only for logging error messages.

Simplifier 8 releases three new containers: launchpad, workflow-designtime, workflow-runtime that also requires a new system sizing for on-premise installations. Please read the updated Server Requirements for Sizing Recommendations.
General Upgrade Instructions for Version 8
New Simplifier Setup Files for onPremise Upgrade
If you do the upgrade on a on-premise environment you have to consider that we added 3 new containers since Release 7 based on our new modular core architecture. Therefore the Upgrade and Installation Documentation is updated.

Update Explored App if using Simplifier Mobile Client 8
Mobile Client 8 does not use simplifier:/// anymore for opening apps on mobile client. This function is deprecated. If you using Mobile Client 8 please update the Explored App for iOS by importing Standard Content 7 or Standard Content 8.
Update Standard Content
Our Standard Content includes the latest updates for the new workflow engine and form builder wizard, but we don’t change the default OpenUi5 Version. Existing Apps should be working as before, but we recommend that all apps should be tested again. (Download here)
Project and Business Roles Assignment
For building Workflows with the new Workflow Designer, every User has to be assigned to at least one Project and needs a Project Role. Default Project Roles will be automatically enhanced with the new Permission Objects for Workflows, but manually created Project Roles not. That means you have to configure your individual Project Roles with the new permission objects and assign it to a User or User Group, otherwise, the Workflow Creation Menu Item will not be visible in the Sidebar Menu.
