[User Experience] New icons and tab titles used in the browser to find tabs faster (Experimental)

Have you ever had several browser tabs with the Simplifier Admin UI open and couldn’t find the right one immediately? Then try our new experimental feature, which shows icons and tab titles based on opened artifacts.

When activated, the browser uses artifact-specific icons in browser tabs with Simplifier Admin-UI. On top, the icon is colored based on the instance type. Also the browser tab title now directly indicates the name of the opened artifact making tab identification as simple as possible. (Read more)

Remove deprecated Connector API from your Business Objects and Scripts

Please check if you are still using deprecated Connector API at some Business Objects or Scripts. Connector calls can than only executed when Connector Call name is given (Simplifier.Connector.<ConnectorName>.<CallName>(payload))

Activate enhanced security

Activate enhanced security for Business Objects, Templates and Plugins, if you have deactiveted them.

Please check your roles are set up accordingly and contain execution permission to all required Server-side Business Objects and read permission to all required Templates and required Plugin Permissions so there will be now issues as soon as enhanced security settings cannot be deactivated anymore.

Replace SSBO SF_PDF function generateWithConfig

The deprecated function ‘generateWithConfig’ is removed from SSBO SF_PDF. Replace it with the function ‘generate’ in the same SSBO or with an own function. (Read more)

[Integration] Simplifier Mobile Client for Android on Windows

Unfortunately, Microsoft has announced the end of support for Windows Subsystem for Android on March 5th 2025. With the end of support, our Simplifier Mobile Client for Android won’t work on Windows anymore. If you have already installed the Simplifier Mobile Client in Windows Subsystem for Android before March 5th 2024 you will continue to have access to the Simplifier Mobile Client until the end of support. [Integration] Javascript execution in PDFs created by PDF Plugin

Currently, it is possible to add Javascript to PDFs created by PDF Plugin. This is a potential risk for Server Side XSS (PDF Injection) and Server Side Request Forgery (SSRF). The option to add Javascript to PDFs in PDF Plugin is now deactivated but can be activated at its own risk. The activation is subject to be removed in later Releases.
