This article explain how to reset a password for an existing user if Simplifier User Management manages this User.
Changing Passwords only works for Users that are managed by Simplifier. If you use your own external Identity Provider, you have to reset the password there.
In order to change a password, you have to switch to the ‘Users‘ tile in the Simplifier dashboard. Search for the user whose password should be changed.
Options for changing a Password
There are 2 options to reset a password for a user:
Click on Send Change password link on the right side – The user will receive a password reset email.
Open the User Details (Double Click on User) and set a new password
Option 2 Set a new Password
Open the User details and click on the ‚Security‘ tab in the upper left corner. Now all you have to do is enter the new password, confirm it and finally click on ‚Change Password‘.
