Combine stability with early insights into Simplifier development
As with our Release Cycle, we are releasing every 8 weeks new MAKERS CHOICE releases, we need to make sure we can publish features, that have not reached the final feature set without reducing the stability of your instances. In addition, we want to give you the chance to replace features, that are about to be deleted, guided by a defined deprecation process.
New features will go through the states ‘Experimental’, ‘In Preview’, and ‘Released’. In the rare case that a feature will be deleted and requires migration it will be set to state ‘Deprecated’.
Features in the state ‘Experimental’, and ‘In Preview’ are deactivated by default. Default (de-)activation of Features in the state ‘Deprecated’ depends on the situation and is communicated with the deprecation announcement in Release Notes. (De-)Active them manually by using Feature Flags.
In the future rebuilding existing features will be done by developing them as a new feature and using our feature states to allow you to decide if you already want to use the new feature or stick to the existing implementation until the final release.
