Hi,

how do I translate a property, like ‘title’, of a screen.

As it is no widget I can’t flag it in widget admin UI.

Hi Klaus,

 

you are absolutely right about this. Screen titles as of now are not translatable in Simplifier and its value will be statically taken from the UI Designer. We will create an internal feature request so that our core implementation team can evaluate your requirement and add the translation functionality to Simplifier in an upcoming release.

Hi Klaus,

 

one addition to this topic: There’s a workaround for your use case so you can translate the title of the screen shown in the header bar. You can insert a sap.m.Bar or sap.m.Toolbar into the customHeader aggregation of your screen and then add a sap.m.Title and a sap.m.Button for the back navigation to mimic the behavior of the screen properties. By using this approach you will be able to translate the screen titles in the PO files as usual.

Hello Klaus,

the feature request has been created, but it now has to be reviewed by our core developer team first and then assigned to a release. So for now, it’s not possible for us to estimate when this feature will be available. As soon as it is assigned to a release, we can generally estimate a date since we plan to launch new releases every 6 months (approximately).

Hi Armin,

implementation in a feature request would be great.

Could you esimate how long it will take since it could be rolled out?

The workaround is fine for a view screens but not for about 100 hundred.
