Search for hardware

I’m looking for a hardware tip and hoping for community experience here 💪
We operate an app for recording various information and providing feedback to machines. We use our NFC chips for confirmation or proof of authorization, which we also use for building access, printer approval, etc. Works great! We had the devices we use for this in our inventory. Now they are gradually starting to give up. We also need more of such devices.
Before I start a long search, I’m quietly hoping that one of you has good experience and can recommend something.
We don’t have any special performance requirements:
- 10-12″
- Touch
- WiFi
- NFC reader
- Designed for continuous operation
- Can be mounted on control cabinets, forklifts, etc. with a bracket

I think you are looking for a tablet. The first one that comes to my mind would be something like a Samsung Galaxy Tab Active5 (current Iteration).
This device has a 10.1” display, WiFi or Cellular, Touch and NFC. It is designed with a no battery mode, for continuous operation. Security Updates *should* be availlable until 2033 as far as I know. This is based on Android. I don’t think a bracket is included by default, so this would need to be ordered seperately. For a Windows option you could look at established manufacturers for PCs. Perhaps something from the Dell Latitude Series or similar could fit your needs. (I think NFC is not built in but can be added).
Alternatively, there could be some Zebra Tablets that fit your requirements.
It is best to verify the capabilities of the devices on site, so it is probably best to buy only a couple of devices before ordering in bulk.
I hope this helps.
Kind Regards
Lukas-
