        Hello Team,

I am trying to get Geo-location (Lats and Longs) from an auto field in data workbench, but every time I try to display the value it gives me the same location (49.797153, 9.960843) which I believe is the geo location of Simplifier’s office.

I tried to find geo location service for mobile client and found a plugin on the resource channel of Simplifier (https://github.com/apache/cordova-plugin-geolocation).

Now, I need to ask if this resource is correct for what I am looking for and if yes then what is the process to install or integrate this plugin into my server’s environment and use it efficiently.

Will be waiting for your response.

        Thanks.

            Hi Armin,

Thank you for your prompt response. It worked after adding mobile action to the process.

            Kind regards,
            Muzzammil Ahmed.

              Hi Muzzammil,

the location that you are seeing is the default value of the auto field which is set to the coordinates of the Simplifier HQ in Würzburg, Germany. If you want to retrieve the live geolocation of your device from the auto field, you have to first add the mobile action “Acquire GPS” to your process before you read the value from the auto field. Only this mobile action will update the coordinates in the auto field.

              Kind regards,

              Armin
