Error when sending Confirmation Mail – Intermediate-200 Module 4 Unit 5

      Hey @all,
I’ve worked through all the courses and could follow every step – thank you very much for providing the courses!

I have one error remaining, which i just can’t understand… when confirming an order after entering an email-address, i get an Error popup (see picture 1).

The entry in the console doesn’t really help me to understand what causes this error (see picture 2).

Sending an email in the later units (e.g. in Advaced: Server-Side Business Objects Module 8 Unit 1) worked just fine and i received the e-mail.

Can somebody help me/tell me the root of the error?

Thank you so much and kind regards
      David

      Hey David,

thanks for raising this issue. It seems that the course material is not up to date.
In order to fix this issue you need to add the permission for the used mail template to the role.

You can do this by selecting the User menu and switch to the roles tab.

From there select the Role “FeedbackAnonymousIntermediate” and edit it.

On the right side you can see the already added permissions. You can open the list of available permissions by pressing the button on the right side of the “add permissions” input field.

There you can type in the name of the template and select it.

In the list of permissions you now should see the template being added. Please deselect the edit and delete checkboxes and save the changes.

Now you should be able to execute your application.

We forwarded this topic to our content team for the course material to be updated.

Sorry for the inconvenience and have a nice weekend!

      Kind regards,

      Armin
