How does it work?

Step 1: Use the Reference Model for Your Vertical

Begin your modernization journey by leveraging the Reference Model tailored to your specific vertical. This model provides a structured framework that aligns with industry standards and best practices, enabling you to identify key processes, systems, and technologies relevant to your organization. By grounding your approach in this reference model, you ensure that your modernization efforts are strategically aligned with the unique needs and dynamics of your industry.

Step 2: Import or Model Your Existing Processes and Systems

In this step, you’ll focus on importing or modeling your current processes and systems. This involves documenting existing workflows, technologies, and integrations within your organization. By gaining a clear understanding of your existing landscape, you can identify areas that require improvement or modernization, setting a solid foundation for the subsequent phases of your digital transformation journey.

Step 3: Use Predefined Survey for Gathering the Data

Utilize predefined surveys to systematically gather crucial data regarding your current systems and processes. This survey will cover essential aspects such as End-of-Life (EOL) assessments, system and process fit, and operations and maintenance costs. Collecting this data allows you to make informed decisions regarding the health and viability of your existing technologies, ensuring that your modernization efforts are data-driven and focused on maximizing efficiency.

Step 4: AdoIT Automatically Generates an Overview for Your Modernization Results Based on the Gartner® TIME Framework

Once the data is collected, AdoIT will automatically generate a comprehensive overview of your modernization results, framed within the Gartner® TIME framework. This framework categorizes your systems and processes into four strategic options: Tolerate, Invest, Migrate, or Eliminate. This structured assessment allows you to quickly visualize which areas need immediate attention and which can be strategically maintained or phased out:

  • Tolerate: Applications that don’t provide the best business value but have an important function and high IT quality.
  • Invest: Applications valuable to the business and warrant future investment.
  • Migrate: Applications serving a business purpose in the IT landscape but creating problems, and therefore need to be migrated to improve function.
  • Eliminate: Applications that perform poorly and no longer align with business activities.

Step 5: Based on the Modernization Results, You Will Receive a Recommendation of Max. 2 Low Code Modernization Use Cases

Finally, leveraging the insights gained from the modernization overview, you will receive tailored recommendations for up to two low-code modernization use cases. These use cases will be selected based on their potential impact and alignment with your organization’s goals, ensuring that you focus on initiatives that offer the greatest opportunity for efficiency gains and digital transformation success.
