Hello, does the Simplifier iOS/Android App support the AppConfig standard?

Hello Christopher,

unfortunately the Simplifier client for iOS or Android does not support AppConfig as of now. However there’s already an internal feature request existing from Simplifier’s side so chances are good that you will be able to preconfigure your server addresses in a future release of the Simplifier client application. Please keep a close eye on our web site and documentation page to always get the newest updates and release notes of Simplifier.

Hello Christopher,

 

yes indeed there is an update! I can confirm that with the upcoming Simplifier 6.0 release due end of January ’21 this feature will be included in the Simplifier mobile client. Currently it is part of our development roadmap and will be implemented very soon.

thank you for bringing this up again. Unfortunately AppConfig is still not supported as the implementation story for our Mobile Client got canceled for the 6.0 release due to timing issues. In the meantime, however, our clients offer an integration for Microsoft Intune which is also documented here: https://community.simplifier.io/doc/current-release/deploy/simplifier-mobile-client/intune/ If you still require AppConfig support, please feel free to request so again via our dedicated feature request portal from here: https://ideas.simplifier.io/
